I’m Catholic and was married to a non-Catholic in a Protestant wedding. We were never blessed by my priest. We are divorced now…he left me. Do I have to go through an annulment? Is my marriage recognized in the church?

every marriage situation is unique. speak to your pastor. for us to offer an opinion here, without knowing all the facts, is pointless, and cannot help you. talk to your pastor.

If you did not receive a dispensation to marry outside the church in a non-Catholic church then you have what is called a Lack of Form.

You do need to contact your parish to get information on the process. They will guide you through what paperwork must be completed and whether you need a full tribunal review or not.

Contact your priest or look for your diocesan website for info on their marriage tribunal process.
