Do we have to attend mass Dec. 8?

Although not a day of obligation, I was really surprised I couldn’t find a church with an evening Mass…several (to far to travel) had morning and noon masses, per their ordinary parish schedule.

Were you in Toronto? Holy Family parish, served by the Oratory Fathers of St. Phillip Neri, had a solemn high mass (extraordinary form) last night at 6 PM for the IC. That is one parish that comes to mind that has a daily evening mass - but I believe St. Michael’s Cathedral downtown does as well and I am sure there are others. I lived in Toronto the better part of 2013, but I think you’re right that daily evening masses weren’t as common as I was used to back west in Vancouver.
