Do we really understand what happens at every Mass?

Do we struggle enough to understand what happens at every Mass?

That we become “present” at our own Redemption at every Mass?

That we become present with Jesus at Calvary and with the women at the empty tomb?

Mind and soul “boggling”!

'…but I’m not being fed at Catholic Mass…" (add sounds of sniveling).

Isn’t it the very love of Jesus that stops you from shaking these people by the labels and saying “wake up and think less about yourself???”

Surely it’s not our own love and virtue that stops us from doing this…!

The Mass - even badly done ones - is mind blowing.

That it is!

A good book to read about the Mass is The Incredible Catholic Mass by Fr. von Cochem,

As Edward said, no matter how the Mass is celebrated - good, bad, or indifferent - it is mind blowing. The benefits derived from just one Holy Sacrifice of the Mass are magnificent.

That’s why I love sitting in the first pew so that I can fully concentrate on what is happening on the altar with little distractions. Even when I can’t get a front row seat 😉, I still focus as completely as I can on the actions of the priest.

Cajun, is that a holy card? If so, do you know where I can get one?

I suspect we won’t have a full understanding until we (hopefully) make it to heaven

The “Lamb’s Supper,” by Scott Hahn is a great read about the sacredness of the Mass.

I read the entire book on a week-end retreat at a Trappists Monastery.

Sunday Mass was Heaven on earth.
