Do we still need to perform penance on the Fridays of Easter?

I realise that every Friday outside of Lent should be a day which includes some form of penance, such as not eating meat.

However, does this apply on Fridays between Easter and the Ascension?

Thanks

It applies on any Friday which is not a Solemnity. This week, the Octave of Easter, each day, Monday through Saturday is a Solemnity, so we can skip the penance this Friday only. After that, the Fridays are Easter Weekdays and subject to the usual penitential observances.

Thanks for explaining clearly.
