Yes, I have experienced subtle signs from God, I believe. Others might call them coincidence, but I believe otherwise. And the more precarious the situation, the more powerful the signs.
Example:
Wife’s 25 yr old close nephew relative committed suicide. Years later, in a Sept I thought of him and stopped by to get another Mass said for him. Church lady said ‘We don’t have any Masses available until the middle of next year, is that ok?’ I said ‘sure, first available will be fine.’ She had no Mass cards left, but she said she would get me one next week if I stopped by and I said ‘nah, that’s ok’ (his family is Christian but not Catholic). Over time I forgot all about the mass.
Had to go out of town for several months to work, coming home on weekends, working very very hard, traveling a lot etc. Now it’s June. My life is upside down with work etc so I forgot my wife’s birthday. She’s upset, and that Sunday evening looks at some bills and mail on the table from last week and last week’s church bulletin. Her birthday is there in the listing of weekly masses, and the Mass that day is for none other than her nephew! She was amazed. I was amazed. I told her, ‘well, I might have forgotten your birthday, but God didn’t.’ Go figure. Now my wife (and I) believe God has entrusted her nephew to her care to help him. She kept that bulletin. And she told her brother, his father, about it, and he cried like a baby.
I have a few others too.
My mom who is very religious (mass and rosary all the time) has a gazillion of these stories and they’re all true. It is not a river that runs through our lives, it is the subtle hand of God, if we have eyes enough to see it.
God bless you.
