Do you make the Sign of the Cross when you pass a Catholic church? I do, and when I pass a protestant church I bless them with the Sign of the Cross and when I pass an Orthodox church I cross myself backwards.
I make the Sign of the Cross when I pass a Catholic Church. I didn’t know about this tradition until I traveled throughout Europe with a Catholic woman who introduced me to it. Now I really like it.
I don’t cross myself when passing a church. I do say the Eternal Rest prayer for everybody in the cemetery when I pass one.
And say a quick prayer for the persons involved when I hear a siren or pass an accident or a breakdown on the road.
Almost always. Sometimes if I’m driving in heavy traffic my mind is elsewhere, but if it occurs to me that I’m passing a church, I do make the sign of the cross and offer a short prayer like the Glory be.
