Pride

Envy
Gluttony
Wrath

I don’t recommend the movie “Seven” by the way. It made me sick. Even I liked Brad Pitt and Spacey at the time.
But it was never part of my Catholic Education at school.
It could be a worthwhile exercise to reflect on these before going to Confession.
To be honest, Lust used to be my worst sin. Easily. (one of the advantages of getting older is that this tends to fade …in my experience that is… 🙂 )
And see how one can be related to others. Like Sloth and Gluttony for instance.
I think I could have been guilty of all of them at one point of my life. Now my worst might be wrath.
But just a second…pride…is another word for narcissism…oh ok…this reflecting on the 7 deadlies is making me depressed

Gluttony is such a shameful sin, isn’t it. Yeah I’ve been there. At a party, and more interested in the food options than chatting to people.
I’ve scoffed a whole bar of chocs. Not a sin we should be talking about in Lent perhaps.

They say ENVY - is the only one - that we never really get to enjoy !

Also, I often have listed them, to how strong they are in my life, at the moment.

I’m starting to feel slothful towards this thread. Call it pride or even gluttony but it just may turn out be another 4 star instead of the usual 5 star rating.

I’ve got a great book i recently picked up on the 7 deadly sins. They say one often leads to more grave sins if indulged in enough.

I read some where “pride” was the root of all of them. But maybe that is wrong.

I think vanity used to be one under the name of vainglory, but I think pride generally covers it.

This is a really good chart to look over, thanks for sharing! I will for sure use this to reflect upon my sins for confession.
