St. Thomas Aquinas, for sure.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn (Surprised?)

At this moment, I think Stephen Braude. (He’s a pretty mean jazz musician, too!) But I have a question for Spockrates, about your “Spock” quote:

“If you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains—however improbable—must be the truth.”
—Spock

If Spock said this somewhere, didn’t he get it from Sherlock Holmes? Maybe you should add Holmes to your list of favourite philosophers. 🙂

  1. Socrates
  2. Aristotle
  3. Plato
    4.St. Augustine
  4. St. Thomas Aquinas
  5. Dr. Peter Kreeft, (my former philosophy professor at Boston College and the one who led me to a love of Apologetics and to the first 5 philosophers!)

Nobody has mentioned G.K. Chesterton?

Augustine
Kierkegaard
Aquinas
Aristotle
JP II
Robert Spitzer
Ambrose
and…of course…GK Chesterton.

More than one (in not all their works, nor in all their philosophical positions, but in some of their more significant ones)…
Martin Buber, Franz Rosenzweig, Ferdinand Ebner
Karl Popper
