Do you have cable?

I don’t have cable, but that doesn’t stop people from telling me that I spread “Fox lies”.
 
I got rid of cable about a year and a half ago And I use netflix and hulu. I love them both and I do not miss cable. I hope this helps 👍
 
After 10 years we kicked Comcast out. What horrible customer service they had. We do netflix and Hulu and love it. Lots of documentaries and foreign stuff like Doc Martin. Just watched a documentary onThomas Merton last night.
 
Might be a little more radical than you’re going for, but last year we gave up our TV entirely and it was one of the the best decisions we’ve made for our family. The turning point for me was when I started having dreams about a character on a popular sitcom. It occured to me that I was spending too much time watching other people’s lives. My husband grew up in a non-tv household and was in favor of it (though we definbitely had a couple moments of, “Wow, are you sure you want to do this?”). I see how he and all his siblings and cousins are way more creative, hardworking, and well-read than the majority of Americans, and I think it’s because they spent their childhoods playing sports, reading, and inventing games rather than watching junk on television.

We don’t miss it. Anything we really want to see (Notre Dame games, the presidential debates, the occasional sitcom) we watch online. And then our toddler doesn’t have TV on in the background while he’s playing and we don’t waste time mindlessly watching junk.

Seriously, ditch the TV and you’ll never go back.
 
Haven’t had cable for around 2 years and love it! I do have netflix and an antenna for local channels. The main difference in not having cable is the fact that you have to actually think and decide what to watch beforehand and then look for it. You can’t just turn the tv on and mindlessly flip through dozens of channels. This cuts your tv viewing by a lot 👍

I am hopelessly addicted to kdrama though , i watch them through dramafever.com so I do waste tons of time in that lol!

I got addicted to Japanese TV shows, especially ones by NHK when I was living in Hawaii. The Yoshitsune series was a particular favorite of mine. I also liked Soko Ga Shiritai.

I have no TV at all. I am a follower of simpler living.

And so much more time to grow, to learn,to share.

Having no TV really can enrich your life!
