Oh @StudentMI, the truth of how you feel about us comes out now, huh? Aren’t we your friends? Sort of? 😉

Of my Catholic friends, I admire their devotion to their parish. The way they volunteer to go out of their way to help others and give up their time to do so. I admire their faith and their knowledge of the faith.

Yes, I have a friend of mine and we have been friends since the 5th grade. WE have known each other for 50 plus years. He is a great conservative catholic and a great friend.

I admire the deep prayer life in several of my Catholic friends. That inspires me very much, as their lives and interactions with others is so grace-filled and noticeable to others.

I have a lot of friends involved in charity work and have been at it for a long time tirelessly. ie family counselling, advocacy for the poor with utility and government services, hospital visitation ministry. I admire them very much.

I have become friends with my catechists from RCIA. I admire their dedication to prayer, daily Mass attendance, Adoration, their love for Christ and His Church. It is such a blessing, as a relatively new Catholic, to see them, those who have gone through RCIA the last four years, their sponsors, etc. at Mass. It’s almost like we have our own little faith group.

In do. Peace corps volunteers, good parents, just great all around. They inspire me.

in real life (as in, off this forum and not talking about anyone here,) I have a few Catholic friends.

Of course they have qualities i admire, such as being friendly, kind, fun, supportive, talented at what they do. If I didn’t find them admirable, I wouldn’t want to be their friend. Same goes for non-Catholic friends.

My admiration for people is generally not based on their religious practices. I consider that stuff a private matter and usually it doesn’t even come up.

I don’t have any practicing Catholic friends  there’s one woman I used to know, though, and she has to be the most joyful Catholic that I know. She seems odd and even unstable to non religious folks, but I always feel jealousy of the certainty she has about being loved and cared for. The peace is attractive.

Huh? I think you are pretty well loved on the forums-I for one, am very glad that you are here. Now how admirable are these friends…? That’s a whole new subject.
What an opportunity to practice the virtue of charity…(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)
