Do you, like me, feel less Holy when you've become angry?

Usually when I have to yell at one of my kids I end up feeling bad. Or when my wife and I are arguing or fighting. I do not name call or put them down or become abusive or anything, but the anger and frustration I feel also makes me feel less Holy, less saintly.

Its like being spiritually bipolar. Sometimes I feel Holy and sometimes I feel like I’m not a very good dad, husband, pet owner, etc.

How about you? Know what I mean, jelly bean?

Nearly in one hundred percent of the times when I lost my temper and did something silly, I would always regret them. I am convinced that I must not follow my head, no matter how tempting it is. For the times I can control myself, I would be pretty glad, and when I could not, it was to my shame.

One can get angry but do not act according to the emotion, which is the difficult part. When we lose our temper, yes, unholiness arises.

We are all made in the image and likeness of God, to be Christlike, yet fail in everyday things. If our sin is not mortal sin then we still have charity. It is the action of the will rather than the feeling that is significant for sin.
