Do you pray to Saint Jesus?

The the term, “Saint,” is misapplied here and must first be understood in order to see that to label Jesus as a Saint, is inaccurate.

Saints are those, who have been sanctified through God’s gift of sanctifying grace. The word “saint” itself, comes from the definition of one who has been sanctified.

From the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

Based on the above, it is obvious that Christ does not give sanctifying grace to Himself, but He gives it to us. Only God can give sanctifying grace. Only a sinner can be sanctified, and that is done through Jesus Christ. So to refer to Jesus as a saint, is inaccurate.

Fine, based on that definition I guess it is inaccurate to refer to Jesus as a Saint.

I’ll drop the issue now.

FYI to all past posters I was not trying to offend anyone and I probably would have dropped the issue along time ago except that I am childish and I like to argue.

It did not seem like that big a deal to me. If I say Jesus is both God and man its fine but if I say Jesus is both God and Saint its evil, disrespectful, “flirting with heresy”, and blasphemous.

I still do not see the logic behind that conclusion but whatever.

The logic is as what Jim quoted.
Plus, there is Bible basis that Jesus is both God and man.
The Bible said, as a man Jesus was sinless.
None of the Saints were sinless.
It is just that plain.

Now, if you have any intention to make yourself a better person today than yesterday,
you can work on your childishness and get over your arguing habit.

Sanctification is the healing and purification of a soul wounded by sin.

Saints are those who have been sanctified through sanctifying grace from God.

Jesus, needs no sanctification, for He is God the Son, who is without sin and is the sanctifier.

You plainly took great delight in your preposterous pusuit. It was offensive from the beginning and you knew it. To try to come across as “naive” is also more put-on. You were having fun jerking some of us around but it didn’t last very long. You don’t have to 'drop the issue" the posters have already.

You got a cheap thrill and you were bordering on heresy. And if you are “Catholic” as you claimed you would know heresy when you see it or hear it. It’s not that you like to argue so much as you needed the attention.
