Not if your Catholic. I believe Protestants like to use the term “calling.” When someone uses the phrase, “Bible College” I think of Oral Roberts, Bob Jones, Liberty University. I don’t understand Protestants, I never have, especially when I was one.
I suppose since there is no formal requirements, (or there did not used to be) to be a a preacher in certain circles, it made sense for someone who wanted to be a Protestant preacher to go to a Bible College. I do know not all denominations are the same on this. To be an Episcopal minister for example you have to have a masters in divinity, so you cant paint all 35000* denominations with the same brush.
