Do you use Christmas stamps or snowman stamps?

I used Madonna and Child stamps for almost all of last year. We pay most of our bills online, so it takes us awhile to get through an entire roll. Now all our Christmas cards are getting flag stamps; I’m not making a special trip to the post office. 😃

I make it a point to always buy enough Madonna and Child stamps (the only authentic “Christmas stamps”) to last me the entire year.

A small, yet still meaningful way to evangelize all who come into contact with my mail. We all have to send mail anyways, so why not evangelize in the process?

I like those too. I usually get those unless the post office is out of them. I have not gone to the post office yet to get stamps for Christmas. Two years ago, those were sold out. I’ll find out later this week when I go to the post office. I do not order stamps online. I buy them at the post office when I need them.

We always use the Madonna/Child stamps rather than the secular seasonal stamps. It is a small gesture but it sends a message. :rotfl:

By the way, I buy my stamps on-line–It is only a dollar and so convenient. When I bought them at the post office, they were often sold out of the Madonna stamps. Does any one know how many Madonna stamps are sold compared with the secular season stamps?

Stamps:confused: 😛
Do people still use them in this day and age?
Ok back to the topic I make my own stamps, I never liked the ones the Post Office has.
I have special ones for Birthdays, Thank you cards, Seasonal Holidays (like Halloween, Valentines day) and special ones for Christmas and Easter.

I don’t know how many of them are sold. I never buy stamps on-line because I do not use a lot of stamps, other than for Christmas cards. I pay all my bills on-line. I do not want to have stamps around that may need additional postage if the price goes up. I just buy as many stamps as I need when I take my cards to the post office.

That’s been my trouble. The last two times I’ve bought a roll of stamps, the price has gone up within a month, so I have to back and buy the additional stamps.

I love the Madonna and Child stamps and always buy them. I use them until they are used up. I have never estimated how many stamps I’ll need for a whole year.

I really cannot buy a lot of stamps and hope to use them up, since I really do not mail much of anything other than Christmas cards. A book of 20 stamps lasts me a long time. I recently bought the Liberty Bell Forever stamps in a book of 20. I will not need to add postage if the price increases, since those stamps will always be good for the current postage, even if it goes up.

Did you know that you can purchase “forever stamps” that will always be first class no matter how much the price of denominated stamps may be? They are probably the only absolutely safe investment in the world.

We seem to use a lot of stamps because I correspond a lot with a relative in prison and because my adult daughters keep asking to “borrow” a sheet or two when they visit.

I know. I mentioned that I purchased a book of them in an earlier post. The ones I got have the Liberty Bell on them. There are no “forever” Christmas stamps that I know of.

Any stamp I can find that will work. If I were to actually have the presence of mind to go buy stamps for my Christmas cards, I would get the ones that actually have to do with Christmas.

I always use the Madonna and Child stamps during Christmas. They’re always so beautiful.

You don’t need to. Just ask your letter carrier for a “Stamps by Mail” order form or call up your local Post Office and ask for one to be sent to your home. You can then order stamps and have them delivered to you. This applies to The United States, its territories, overseas military Post Offices, or any other region under the jurisdiction of the USPS.

We always make an effort to use the Madonna and Child stamps…

I just wish the post office would sell them in the machines, instead of having to stand in line… makes for a longer visit to the post office than we’d like… but worth the effort!

I love the Madonna and Child stamps, and when you finish the booklet there’s still a large image you can save.

I like to paint them on beach rocks every now and then

I use whatever is on hand at the time (happens to be the Lighthouse ones now), which also includes the standard US Flag ones or the Forever Liberty Bell stamps.

at Christmas we use Nativity Scene stamps, rest of year regular stamps
