I believe that catholics have a right not to believe in the apparitions of the catholic church. Are the apparitions such as, Our Lady of Fatima, and Our Lady of Lourdes Dogma? I know it would not be Doctrine, or would it be either? These apparitions do have to be investigated and approved by the Pope. Thank you, Brenda.

They are called “private revelations” and you don’t have to believe in any of them if that is your choice. They are neither doctrine or dogma. They are not “apparitions of the Catholic Church”, they are private revelations to individuals. The only thing the Church does is investigate and determine whether they are worthy of belief.

I do believe in apparitions. I kind of knew they were not either, but wanted to be sure. T.Y.
