Warning, disturbing content ahead.
I saw the most horrible documentary about the North Korean government.
They interviewed people who escaped from the country, there were a former party member and a solider who later became political prisoners, there was also a man who used to be a guard in one of the prisons. They also showed documents obtained from the regime, detailing the things that went on…
Some of the most horrifying things were the descriptions of tortures that regularly go on in the prisons. And the fact that they use prisoners to TEST BIOLOGICAL AND CHEMICAL WEAPONS.
They have these glass rooms where they’ll put the prisoners (usually a family), they’ll strip them naked and gather around to watch as they inject some sort of a poison into the chamber.
There was a story of how they fed poison to prisoners who immediately started bleeding from the mouth and the backside and died shortly after.
They also have a heredity rule and a collective responsibility rule, so if a man is found guilty of treason, they imprison not only him but also his relatives and neighbors.
They said that if female prisoners give birth, the prison worker will kill the child by stepping on his neck.
This is so evil. It’s unbelievable that people will actually create such governments. And it’s not a solitary event in history either. Similar things happened in Nazi Germany, Soviet Union etc.
It really puts things in perspective. Our society has a long way to go before it becomes that bad
