Does a baptised convert have to remarry?

An Anglican lady has told me she wants to become a Catholic. She was previously civilly married to a Catholic but was divorced and has re-married a non Catholic. Will she have to get an annulment of her first marriage and will her present civil marriage have to be ratified by the Church?

Catholics are obligated to follow canonical form. If a Catholic marries civilly then the marriage is invalid. So your Anglican friend’s first marriage only needs to be shown to lack canonical form.
Her second marriage is to a nonCatholic and so it is considered valid. It does not need to be blessed by the Church because the Church already recognizes it as valid.
