Hello,

My wife is a divorced non-Catholic. She was originally married in the Baptist church.

We only have a civil marriage but I would like to be married in the Catholic Church. Does my wife need to get an annulment for her Baptist marriage first?

Thanks,
Dan

All marriages are presumed valid until proven otherwise. Her marriage in the Baptist community is still considered valid until it is proven invalid to a Church tribunal (i.e. annulment). So she would need to go through the annulment process in order for your marriage to be validated in a Catholic Church.
