well I agree with you 100% but I am not Catholic and Catholics want to obey the Church and obey the Law and if the parents own views clash with the clergy becasue new clergy come along and alter things then there are clashes of which children who are old enough to receive are not old enough to stand against their parents and the parents should never be old enough to stand against the church within Catholicism. Hence in my own opinion why children are too young to receive on one hand as they are not old enough to understand conflicts between priests and parents and be able to sort out whether they are mature enough to accept the priest word over their parent words. For those parents who insist on any word that is different from the Priest. Obediency to the Church - hmmm As with all Anglicans Obediancy to the Church when it suits and this is a classic area of when it suits. If we really are obediant to the Church then it so simply to fall in with what the present Priest asks for. When he goes you simply fall in with what the next priest asks for. It no big deal. All my confirmed life I have received on tongue but with visiting priest I receive by hand 90% of the time because they know then I am confirmed. But it no big deal how I receive.
