Does a Requiem Mass meet my obligation?

I am in the middle of a 90-day Mass novena, and Saturday morning, I attended a Requiem High Mass for the 30th day anniversary of the death and burial of JPII.

Did this Mass meet my Saturday obligation for the novena? I did receive Communion.
