My 1974 Sacramentary states:It is my understanding that a nuptual mass may not be celebrated on Sunday (unless there is a special dispensation)
Sunday weddings are a nuptual service (even if there is a communion service, there is no consecration).
The canon law is that no celebration supercedes the Sunday Mass. I was told this, so I do not have the reference.

I haven’t heard of any changes. If a marriage is celebrated on a Sunday or solemnity, the Mass of the day is used with the nuptial blessing and, where appropriate, the special final blessing. . . When the wedding Mass may not be used . . .one of the readings for marriage may be chosen. On Sundays of the Christmas season and on Sundays in ordinary time, in Masses which are not parish masses, the wedding Mass may be said without change.
The only days I know of on which one may not be married are Good Friday [no mass that day] and All Souls [A marriage during the Mass for the Dead just won’t work.]
