Does any one can suggest good books which can help to rehabilitate soldiers after the war?

The question is likely to those who have experience of spiritual chaplaincy.

Reading is so personal it’s hard to say. Find out what their interests are and bring them things they like to read. You could always take them a copy of a Bible or of devotions as well.

I would recommend just learning what their interests are. Part of what helps is others taking an interest in them.
 
I am interested in well-known works that have proven themselves at the academic level, which can be translated from English.
 
Having met a number of soldiers who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, I believe they have witnessed things and possibly had to do things which are deeply disturbing. I don’t think books will do a lot of good.

I believe being able to forgive themselves and to forgive others; is at the heart of any recovery.

Thank you. Still , I think there must be experts who have researched this subject on the basis of therapeutic research and may have success in reviews and recommendations.
