It seems like pro-Christian films are not in the mainstream. Passion of the Christ may be an exception.I think there is a mix out there…showing all different beliefs in all sorts of different lights, both good and bad. It may ebb and flow a bit as to which is currently “cool” or not.

I think it’s also part of an excessive desire to be diverse and different.The TV shows and movies might be a new tilt, but the love for paganism is nothing new.
It is just another face of the Western love for exotic beliefs. I’d expect to see a renewal of Mayan religion any day now.

Vampires and zombies are the dead that have risen again. I think this is a distorted version of our innate longing for immortality or how it was previous to the fall of man. Even though the culture at large has largely rejected God, it has not managed to get rid of the longing for immortality and probably unconsciously, a longing for our heavenly home.All the New Age thing is not going away and probably never will. Because it’s the worship of self, what else? Also, the modern culture seems to have a strange, never-ending fixation with vampires, zombies, and all things blood and death. And then wonder why there is so much violence.
^ A perfect example of what I’m talking about. ThanksThe BBC’s The Last Kingdom is the exemplar of this. The show is set during the Norse and Danish invasions of Britain, largely held by the Christian Anglo-Saxons. The Christians are, to a man, miserable, self-righteous, hypocritical, and superstitious. The Danes laugh at their gods and spend life in revelry. I have never seen such contempt for one’s own. Watching it completely destroyed my esteem for the BBC. The Vikings didn’t create a civilization – they sacked them.
That’s one way to look at it. I know what you mean. I guess I just took it for being drawn to all things Satanic. But, in a very odd way, this could be the case too. I don’t really know what is inside of their minds. I don’t know how this world (or this country, at least, as far as the horrible immorality) got so far from God. Honestly, this whole western culture just makes me think of those ancient wicked nations He destroyed in the Old Testament days with horrible plagues. Remember the frogs? I don’t think people worship the body, per se, so much as longing for the perfection that earthen bodies can never achieve.I see a lot of “beauty of the body” worship. It reminds me of the Greek gymnasiums and Olympic games… sort of pagan-ish. Sun worshipers… lots of people looking for something to worship and forgetting God who made it all…

You’re right. It is literally everywhere. It’s thrown at you, when you’d rather not have to see it. As for the “sexting”, I think that’s just nerdish. Why don’t they just let their boyfriend/ girlfriend see them naked in person? Then you run the risk of having a shameful picture “shared” and put all over the internet. More stupidity. I wouldn’t be too hard on Western cultures. All cultures in general have problems. As they say, all have sinned and have fallen short of the Glory of God.That’s one way to look at it.
