I’m pretty sure this is the right section.
See, my mother (a Protestant) is finally, at last letting me be received into the Church! Originally, I had planned for it to be done on Easter, in my parish the usual way.
However, my mentor had an even grander idea. A wonderful idea, really. She asked what would I do if I could be received however I wanted.
I told her bluntly: “It wouldn’t be here. It would be overseas. Maybe in France or Poland.” (She’s Polish, you see, and I am in love with the country primarily because of her.) She laughed and responded, “Why not in Croatia, with Father Sudac?” (Father Sudac is a stigmatic priest, you see, who we both passionately love and know is destined for canonization.) My excitement flared up. “That would be INCREDIBLE!” “Alright,” she said, “but we’ll have to raise funds.”
Ever since then, I haven’t been able to shake the idea. We spoke today and she said, if that was what I truly wanted, we would make it happen. She suggested that I translate a letter I wrote quite a while back for our bishop (with my Confirmation class) for him.
So, all that said: I am hoping to get someone who speaks Croatian to help. Any takers?
Also, and this is even more important, really: If you know anything about affordable trips to Croatia, if you know how to make it happen, reply, PM me, SOMETHING!!! I’m going to do research, post on yahooanswers, and make a separate thread for that… but any help is appreciated.
Really.
