Does anyone know if this affects the validity of the Eucharist?

Today at Mass the priest received the Eucharist last…yes I know highly illicit. But the crux of the question is…He received the Eucharist not from the Mass that was being celebrated, but from the tabernacle because he ran out of hosts consecrated at the present Mass. Is this valid?

And where do you find this?
 
I guess I don’t know what you mean by Valid. Certainly the priest was wrong to recieve last. Certainly all should recieve hosts that are concecrated at the mass they are attending. The first problem is in my opinion more serious than the second, but neither would invalidate the Mass, or the consecration, per se.

If you have a priest who is willfully changing the Mass, I suggest that you get a copy of “Mass Confusion” by Catholic Answers. I live in a Diocese where do it your self liturgy is the norm, but I can tell you that as painful as it is to suffer through Sunday mass at my parish, as long as they don’t do any thing that invalidates the Eucharist, the reception of our Dear Lord into my heart is beyond any words that I could use.

I will pray for your priest and for your parish as I pray daily for ours.
 
Valid but illicit.

I mean, think about it. How can something that occured after the consecration unvalidate what already occured?
