No college is going to be perfect. I would consider things like size, majors, where it is located. Most of the really traditional colleges in the U.S. are really small and only liberal arts so if you are good with that then go for it. I attended Christendom and personally I don’t get all the hype about really Catholic colleges unless you are discerning priesthood or religious life and want to study liberal arts and be around people like you. There is nothing wrong with going to a secular college if you can stay strong in your faith and meet other Christians. You could even maybe find a traditional Catholic parish near one so you don’t have to stop attending the TLM. You would also have more opportunities and majors to choose from which might make it better if you also want to be able to get a good job after graduating. With the cost of college you have to take into account what kind of jobs you will be able to get with your degree after graduating. It can’t be all about getting educated etc

I wonder if Catholic University of America has a parish with a Latin Mass nearby. Because they offer lots of different majors and graduate degrees. Going to a school with strong catholic values is important to me though.

It probably does, at least some Churches or Catholic centers have it occasionally. And if you were in DC it would be easier to get around because you can just take the metro, bus, or walk. Much easier than being in the middle of nowhere. Plus there are a lot of opportunities in DC and lots of things to explore

Good to know. I’ll keep that in mind if I decide to go there for grad school. Thanks.

There are a few places to go for Latin Mass in DC

There is one that is a 25 minute walk from the campus Metro station. There is also a way to get their via the bus system or via Uber for less than $10

You can also use this website to find other Latin Masses in DC area.

God Bless
