Does anyone remember this movie?

I don’t know how old I was, but this movie really made an impression
on me. It was called Face On Fire and starred James Whitmore. It was made in 1959. I think I saw it on tv. It haunted me and there was a creepy song these kids sang about " the monk".

James Whitmore was a good actor and he really made an impression on me in this movie. And the song really did. I had tried to find the title a couple of years ago, but couldn’t. I don’t know if they just found it or what, but I know this is the movie from the plot summary and Whitmore’s character is named Monk. I have never seen it shown on tv again. I was probably 9 or 10 when I saw it.

Just curious if anyone else remembered seeing this movie.
