Does anyone use the profile features on this site

I’m just curious. I’ve never really explored them myself.
 
Private messages, friends, profile visitor messages, perhaps subscribed threads or find posts/threads by. Otherwise not really.
 
I’ve never really used them on this site. I have a facebook account that I use for that type of stuff. Here, I prefer to have a bit more anonymity.
 
I do. I’ve met a few incredible people on here, so I am grateful of some of the additional features that allow a bit of social networking.
 
I use them to a miminum. I do however go and check out the profiles of people I interact in Catholic Answers Forum. I also use it when I am reporting posts.
 
I usually check out info on other posters. I know from here and other forums that you can often understand a post better if you know something about the poster. As such, I have filled out some information about myself.

The same words from a brand new forum member and a long time poster are likely to mean entirely different things.

I do prefer a certain amount of anonymity however and I have enough other online and offline places to socialize so I don’t generally seek out friendships from here. (I have made some, however.) I figure I’ve given enough information here that anyone who REALLY wants to know who I am could figure it out. But I’m not going to give it away easily.
