Does asking for a saint's intercession mean I don't trust our Lord?

I pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet almost everyday and I understand that you should invoke all your trust in this devotion to our Lord. If I were to pray to a saint, lets say saint Teresa of the child Jesus, or to saint Jude Thadaeus, to intercede for me to our Lord, is it going against the trust I should have in the Divine Mercy Chaplet? Thank you and God Bless.

Hi.

Pray directly to the Lord. But it’s good to ask others to pray with you. You are not asking the saints to pray instead of you, but WITH you to the Divine Mercy. This way, you are praying to the Lord and they are praying as well. There is no conflict here.
