Does God give up on people?

Can one overstep the boundaries of God’s graces and be destined to hell and not even know it?

I ask because I have been struggling with a few sins recently and I am scared God will give up on me without my even knowing it and I will be on a one way road to hell when I die.
 
God does not “give up” on people until we die. That means that up to the very moment of death, he will do all that he can to offer us the grace we need to live in his friendship forever. You need not worry that he will ever give up on you so long as you live. Each time you are brought to repentance for the sins with which you struggle, consider it proof positive of God’s efforts to make a saint out of you. God bless.
