Does God have a plan for the Universe?

God created the universe. Is the universe just a sandbox for our lives. Or does God have a plan for the Universe? Is it working toward something or is it just something that God will eventually discard?

‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD

Jeremiah 29:11

Is it possible that we could logically workout what that plan might be? For example if there was a multiverse could we workout what the purpose of the multiverse is?

I’ve read (but can’t remember where) that the universe will not be discarded but rather will be perfected. This relates to the Catholic teaching that the human person is both body and soul, and in the resurrection our bodies will be restored and made ready for eternal life. Having bodies, we will be able to live in the universe. That’s not to say we will be trapped in a material world and trapped in time as we know it. Things will be better than we can imagine (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Yes, everything in the world …gravity, mathematical ratios, strong/weak forces, carbon, earth, rivers, our senses exist to serve God’s redemptive plan.

Everything really exists to serve the family…and the family exists to serve each soul, and each soul exists to serve God.

But we’re not all aware of it. The unity is quite imperfect and that’s our happy work to take on.

A woman who aborts her own child doesn’t see that child as her family. She might be too angrily carrying around a “no justice no peace sign” to realize it.

How can the world work by greedy capitalists competing against one another for material wealth without the world crashing with all the greed? Capitalism, I believe, was invented as a short-term solution to accomplish the completion of the world. Spiritual love is bound to take complete control over people once their hearts of stone is made fleshly, as stated in the Bible.

there are probably millions of earths in our known universe,
how many others had an original sin and a need of a saviour?
is there someone out there wondering that about us?
There could be millions of earths in the entire universe, but there are not millions of creator gods. There is only ‘One God’ the creator of all that is seen and unseen.

So one God manages millions of earths in the universe. But did His one Son Jesus Christ have to visit all those earths?
Jesus did not visit Japan or America; I am sure God has all things under control.

As far as I know, the plan is for the universe to keep expanding outward until distances are too far for light to reach us. We’ll spend some time thinking we’re the only star system in the Galaxy for awhile. The sun will expand and consume the earth. Stars will begin dying, leaving only cold orbs and space gas. The matter will decay into energy, and singularities will slowly evaporate until the universe is left in a cold low energy state, devoid of life and matter.
