Genesis 3:2-7
*The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ”

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.*

God imply that if the fruit is eaten or touched you will die. Somewhere in the internet says, Adam and Eve did die; from old age. But isn’t die a present tense so maybe it means a person who eat the fruit will die immediately. So, did God lied?
My friend, you need to be more careful about choosing your internet. From the day the fruit was eaten, things changed, they were from then on, on the path of down hill of bodily decay, it was going to wither and return to the place it came from. There are no fruits that can stop that. There are no medicines balms extracts oils that can stop that. Though many have tried. The old know that corruption is happening to them. Better to let that happen and be known by God, than prevent that and be unknown by God.

Blessing to you souldiver.

God does not lie.
Adam and Eve were sinless and pure creatures in full union with God. Death held no claim over them but once they broke God’s trust by trying to elevate to His level of knowledge, they lost their sheltered lives and were banished to the lands od decay and death.

Did he deliberately with hold vital information from Jesus and the Holy Spirit? No.
Jesus and the Holy Spirit know the absolute perfection of God the Father and have no need to know this information. If they requested it they would be granted this information but they have no need to know it.

If your father in this life was a Lawyer and he was aware of the date of your brothers court case, you and your worried mother would ask him when it was, unless you had a pure and unadulterated faith in his ways, then you would have no need to worry and you and your mother would go on about your daily duties knowing all things will be as your father desires.

He is the only one who knows when, and is the only one who needs to know when, but the information is there for those who would doubt his intentions, something that Our Lord and the Holy Spirit would never even dream of doing.

Hope this helped.
God Bless
Pete.
