I feel that I’ve been selfish and maybe persumptuous for praying that God may heal me, thereby allowing me to forego dialysis. It seems that Jesus performed countless miracles during his time on Earth. I feel such acts were necessary back then to manifest his divinity and to show He was a healer of the body as well as of the soul. Through his miracles, people became believers in him. Of course, His death and resurrection were key to bringing about belief primarily! I’m not discounting Gods ability to perform miracles in modern times, yet it seems there are fewer performed today than during biblical times. Am I wrong here? Is it pointless to pose such a question that cannot be adequately answered? Is God neglecting me by not healing me of my disease? Is it pointless to pray for a miracle?
