Does God use fear?

Does God use fear in us to in order for us to do something good? For example if a new oppertunity arrises and I have a deep fear about that situation is this God’s way of telling me I should avoid it. Can the existance of fear be a sign from God or is it a false signal?

Fear is a byproduct of our humanity but if you trust that Gods will is being done then you have nothing to fear. a good example is the Crusifxiction, Jesus was terrified but he knew it was Gods Will so he continued.
still if there was an army bearing down on you, use common sense and live to fight another day.
