Baptisms were once performed on unclothed recipients, deaconesses were once part of the church, hence they performed the baptisms on females. So is this an example of a change? I was told about the baptisms by a deacon, so don’t attack me on that.
Just trying to wrap my head around ALL the paperwork necessary just so I can resume communing and wondering when this became necessary (the paperwork). I can’t just talk to a priest, or say a confession, or talk with deacon, it all boils down to forms, petitions, affidavits, certificates, applications, ad nauseum. The scribes have taken over the church, and the faithful sit and wait until the next available appointment.
