There is no requirement regarding the readings used for a Eucharistic celebration in fulfilling the obligation for a Sunday or Holy Day of obligation. The liturgical day is always midnight to midnight, although the celebration of it is sometimes anticipated on the previous evening, or even transferred to a different day.
the specifics of what fulfills Sunday’s obligation varies by church sui iuris. For Roman Church Catholics, it meets the letter of the law.

Hello!

I’m wondering if going to Divine Liturgy on Holy Saturday at a local Byzantine Catholic church fulfills the same obligation as attending Holy Saturday Mass at my usual Roman Catholic church.

The reason I ask is that I am scheduled to work on Easter, so I have to attend a vigil service.
It does. It is in union with Rome, you can go to The Eastern Churches anytime. The Orthodox ONLY if there are no Catholic Churches nearby. My Orthodox priest friend allows me too. He is an OOC member. Orientals are more lenient than others…

We are just Universal and open to all and we Teach in Unity. Orthodoxy, sadly, doesn’t have it even if they make claims. In practice, each local Patriarchate does what they deem fit.

It is the norm that “the available time runs from the evening of the vigil until the end of the Sunday or feast day”:

CCEO Canon 881
  1. The Christian faithful are bound by the obligation to participate on Sundays and feast days in the Divine Liturgy, or according to the prescriptions or legitimate customs of their own Church sui iuris, in the celebration of the divine praises.
  2. In order for the Christian faithful to fulfill this obligation more easily, the available time runs from the evening of the vigil until the end of the Sunday or feast day.
  3. The Christian faithful are strongly recommended to receive the Divine Eucharist on these days and indeed more frequently, even daily.
  4. The Christian faithful should abstain from those labors or business matters which impede the worship to be rendered to God, the joy which is proper to the Lord’s day, or to the proper relaxation of mind and body.
