Does Mary love us?

Okay, this is probably a silly question, but please understand that I just became Catholic, and I’m just now trying to get into this Marian stuff.

Does Mary love us? Is there solid church teaching that says so?

I’ve been thinking about this lately, and understand that she is the Mother of the Church, and the word “Mother” implies the motherly “instinct” of love… I’m just hoping for something more “solid” than my suppositions.

Maybe I’m a bit insecure. I have had trouble understanding Christ’s love for me, and that’s very clearly indicated in Scripture! I would really love to believe that Mary loves me individually, as well as part of the Church, and was wondering if there was any support for it.

Does Mary sin? No.

Reigning in Heaven with Jesus, does she love perfectly?Of course.

Is she our Spiritual Mother? Yes.

Does a perfect, and perfect living mother love any of her children less than the others, or does she love each and every one perfectly with a mother’s love? (I’ll let you answer that one)

A great Doctor of the Church, St. Alphonsus Liguori wrote a book, “Glories of Mary.” I highly recommend it to understand Mary’s love for us!

The greatest love she has for us is by always leading us to her Son, Our Savior.

I always feel her love when I pray the Hail Mary and Hail Holy Queen.

I always think of Our Blessed Mothers sorrow during what should have been such a happy occasion for her with her newborn Son Jesus when they went to the Temple. Simeon prophesied that Jesus would be “a sign that will be opposed” and forwarned Mary that a sword of sorrow will pierce her own soul (Luke 2:34-35)

How hurtful that must have been for her. How scared she must have been. Through all the sufferings she went through to protect her Beloved Son Jesus she always stayed obedient to Gods will with that Immaculate Heart full of love and without sin.

She knew Jesus had a mission for us. The Blessed Virgin is the perfect model for all people. There is no end for how much she loves us and what she will do for us. Her entire life was the embodiment of love.

I would really love to believe that Mary loves me individually, as well as part of the Church, and was wondering if there was any support for it.

Fr. John Corapi - before becoming a great priest, he was once a homeless man - He listened to his mother’s advice and prayed one Hail Mary per day. He later prayed the whole Rosary - that’s how his life turned 180 degree around and towards Jesus.

My girlfriend who learned to pray the Rosary from a pamphlet found at her college. She prayed the Rosary while she had a little tiny knowledge of who God was. Now, she’s been baptised as a Catholic and she is the one I learn how to be a Catholic myself although I was born as a Catholic.

My grandmother, who passed away about 1 month ago, prayed Rosary for years and years. I remember I always saw her praying the rosary every morning. Amazing thing is that, she nearly lost all her mind (at age of 96) but until the last day she died she always talked about God and Virgin Mary.

She had been on her bed for 2 years. Five days to the day she passed away, she told my mom that “It is time for her to go to God’s Home.” My mom asked her “how do you know it is her time”. She told my mom “God told her!”. Then, next day after telling my mom about going Home, she asked my mom “How far is God’s home?” Mom told her not too far. Three days later, she received the Communion and about 5 hours later, she peacefully passed away.

Indeed, Blessed Mother Mary loves us individually dearly, and we can be assured that when you ask for Her help, she would not turn you down. She would make sure you will come to love Jesus more and more each day.

The Rosary is one of the most powerful prayer for all souls.
