Does Matthew 6:7 imply that the Hail Mary is a vain repititous prayer?

…‘But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.’

My protestant friend is adamant that the Hail Mary is not biblical!
