Does our faith say anything about using a pendulum as alternative medicine?

I am interested in knowing exactly what our faith has to say about a doctor using a pendulum in their practice. I am not in to “new age” but I am open to some alternative practice of medicine…where should i draw the line? I have asked my parish priest and he did not know anything about it and thought…“with the best of intentions, I am sure it is fine” I am not really sure about that answer.
