I mostly come here when I have migraines, am on drugs, or withdrawing from them. It’s a distraction. I try to be nice. I don’t expect much. Sometimes people will pray for you or vice versa, and that’s a good thing.

I think it helps. It teaches me patience and compassion. And, of course, someone may always correct my punctuation.

Well, it certainly offers me lots of opportunities to practice humility, patience, and tolerance!

Helps me realize that I am not abnormal. There are all sorts of Catholics, all the way from “catholics” to CATHOLICS 😁 I am somewhere in the middle, and I need to pray for all of them.

I would watch Les Miserables again except I’d be singing the “Red and Black” song at the top of my lungs in the shower for at least the next 3 weeks. Far too addicting.
Curses on the ear worm you started!!!

Hello.

It is helpful, especially the prayer section. Also, asking the apologists questions is very helpful. One time I was really upset about something and one of the apologists answered my question and I felt so much at peace. I do wish we would all focus more on being kind than on being correct.

What I’ve found helpful is to get to know the other posters. That way I know who to avoid and who to listen to. I’ve also learned that I don’t have to reply to posts if I don’t like them. I like that it’s okay to flag them at times.

Participating in these forums helps me grow, plus I know it’s a catholic community which is always a relief to find. I’m not always a good judge of my spiritual development, so I don’t know how to answer that part of the question. Sometimes I feel like all I’m doing spiritually is backsliding.

Please pray for me.
