Br. Rich SFO:
The larger parishes of the Slavic Byzantine Rites, both in Europe as well as the U.S. and Canada, have Divine Liturgies on Saturday evening.
I know that the Cathedrals and many of the village churches, in Europe, also have Divine Liturgy on Sunday evening as well.
There are also parishes where they have 1 priest who must sever 2 or 3 parishes have a Saturday evening Divine Liturgy.
Most of the Slavic Byzantine parishes, in the U.S., do not celebrate Vespers on Saturday.
Hope this helps…
This greatly depends on which of the Byzantine Rites you are attending and where the parish is located. In most Eastern Churches there are Saturdays vespers. No Divine Liturgy is celebrated, that is for Sunday only. No you can’t in the Eastern Church attend Saturday and not return Sunday.
