Does the Catholic Church believe that St. Peter was married?

I hope someone can answer this question for me. I was recently asked this, does the Catholic church believe that saint peter was married ? in reference to the passage in the Gospels about his mother in law. Thank you and God bless

Dear Mark,

If Scripture says that he had a mother-in-law, then St. Peter was married. But that is all that we know of his marriage. There is no mention anywhere else, including his death, of wife or family.
