Does the Catholic Church have an economic or political affairs journal?

Or if there are any Catholic publications that analyze news, current events, economics or politics from a Catholic perspective?

For instance, World Magazine is a Christian, evangelical conservative current events magazine. Sojourners Magazine would be the left wing equivalent to that.

It’s my personal belief that Catholicism, for the most part, reconciles both the right/left dichotomy that splits Protestants apart, so I’d love to read commentary on stuff from a Catholic POV.

I suggest you check out the National Catholic Register (not to be confused with the National Catholic Reporter)!

Would the Vatican Magazine count? (I know answering a question with a question probably isn’t the best answer).

The National Catholic Register is probably as close as you’ll get. Catholic Answers (and EWTN, to an extent) tends to avoid the secular sphere when possible.

National Catholic Register seems like what I was looking for! Thanks!

You can find a Catholic publication to match your political views.

For the Right side of the aisle:
National Catholic Register/EWTN
Crisis
Our Sunday Visitor
Catholic World Report
First Things (has shifted, used to live more in the middle)

From the middle of the aisle:
America Magazine
Plough

From the left of the aisle:
National Catholic Reporter
Commonweal Magazine

Somewhere between middle and left: Liberty Magazine (very thought provoking, lesser known magazine)

Excellent resource list. Thanks.

I am not necessarily looking for politically liberal or conservative stuff, but publications that will analyze world and current events from a Catholic perspective. From the POV of Catholic Social Teaching. I am kind of tired of the back and forth of the secular politics, and am looking for a much more Catholic POV.

I think the Catholic Church does a good job of reconciling a lot of the left/right dichotomy of politics, especially in the United States. I am surprised there are both left wing and right wing publications at all.

First Things seems way right wing, they just did an interview with Steve Bannon, which I found odd. He may be “Catholic” but endorses far right/fascist writers such as Alexander Dugin and Julius Evola. Many are anti-religious too.
