I have always believed in my religion and actually read two books of the Old Testament when I was in high school. No one has ever shaken my belief, but I haven’t been living quite religiously lately. Last year I started my hard classes at college and got into a group of friends and have been forgetting to pray and go to church. I am starting to go back to my ways starting today.

I found out some time ago that I have scoliosis. It’s not major, but it’s noticeable. My dream was always to be in good shape for when I become a police officer. I would love for the Lord to heal my disease, but I feel like I haven’t done anything to deserve it this past year. So my question is simply; Should I even pray for this, or should I prove that I deserve his healing first?

Of course you must pray,asPadre Pio states:You dont need to be worthy, but willing.

We do not deserve anything, but God still sacrified his Son for our sins.

Thank you for your supportive reply, you have given me hope for my future with this situation.

You said you didnt do anything but you actually did.
You were thinking of God,You understand you are not worthy, you were willing to pray this is so great.
Think Lord found another lost sheep.
Congrats
Keep going

Your college likely has a NEwman Center. Go and meet the priest and other faithful young people.

Of course you can pray for it. The love of God is unconditional. He could bless you so that you will have a successful operation/treatment to correct it. More importantly, is for you to be healed emotionally. psychologically and spiritually so that you know God more and grateful for Him for who and what you are.
