Dear Ask an Apologist,

When listening to music or reading books, does the morality of the author/artist or his other works matter? For each of the following, could you tell me if it would be sinful to buy/listen to/read the works of someone who
  1. is immoral in his personal life (is in a homosexual relationship, divorced, co-habitating, etc)
  2. acts immorally when appearing in public (on TV shows, in concerts, etc.)
  3. supports things like gay marriage, abortion, etc.
  4. has other bad songs or books
If it is sinful to read works by people who do one or more of these things, would I have to look over everything the person has published to see if I’d be able to read his books?

Thank you very much!
