That thought just struck me for some weird reason. Do you think the Pope (either JPII or BenXVI) has ever used a computer or gone on the internet? If you couldn’t tell, I’m bored right now…

I would imagine that they have tried going on the internet. I just can’t imagine them having much free time with their demading job! LOL

I don’t know that he ever had the opportunity to surf himself, but it’s my understanding that JPII was a very strong proponant of useing the internet for communicating the truths of the Church.

Very wise man!

I do not know if he goes on himself, but he does have an eMail address:benedictxvi@vatican.va
Cool. I was able to confirm the email address at the vatican website, doing a search for “email address” and choosing a topic to send email greetings to Pope. It opens an email with the subject prepopulated “Greetings”

I think I just might write and see what happens! Now, what to say? :hmmm:

I sent Pope Benedict XVI congratulations, and an invitation to my hometown (a German settlement) right after his election. I did not get a response. However it was fun to send.
