Does the rosary still have it's full efficacy if you miss a hail mary or two?

I don’t want to make a big deal out of it but sometimes My mind plays tricks on me and Idk if I missed a bead or two when praying the rosary. I know it may not be a big deal but a very tiny part of me feels like the rosary in it’s entirety is missing because I saying maybe 48 or 49 hail marys than the whole 50. Is this being scruple? It’s frustrating to not even know as you are literally fingering through as you meditate and can visually see how many are left.

I think the intent counts. Usually if I think I lost count, I tend to over-do it, and try to offer the “extra” prayers for a separate intention.

I also think there’s a “small-t” tradition of saying that your guardian angel will say the missed prayers for you, or will finish your rosary if you fall asleep while saying it.

I think it’s always a good thing to pray, no matter what. If you miss one or two, don’t worry about it.

As long as it occurred by accident without your noticing, I think Our Lord would accept prayers offered through His Blessed Mother even though one was missing.

Unless you are saying the rosary as part of an indulgence or penance in the confessional, it is just a private devotion anyway. I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s not like you omitted the prayer on purpose.

If I have tried to say the rosary while sleepy or distracted, I have occasionally had the sensation that I “missed a bead”. If this happens, I just say an extra Hail Mary.

Not that you are doing this, but I would hate to see anyone get scrupulous about this. Our Lady doesn’t want that.

I always think I have missed a Hail Mary. I have eleven Ave long decades, apparently.

Be blessed and dont worry. A Rosary is a spiritual bouquet…
I dont think Mary counts the flowers.
She loves you deeply for starting.and trying your best
