Does this make any sense?

The more religious I get the more I feel tempted to sin. Am I just noticing it more or what? It seems like all of the sudden there are a lot more opportunities to sin now. Like pretty bad ones that I had problems with a long time ago. I got sick recently and now I have a bottle of robotussin or whatever that has dxm in it (a dissociative) I used to mess with that which is beyond stupid, I know. I did it as a teenager, I have, or at least thought I’ve moved on.

I too experience this
My explanation is when you become more religious you are more aware of what is sin but since you are more loving to God the devil sees you as a threat and tempts you more
Why bother tempting those who don’t care about their sins they don’t need to be tempted

Temptation is a sign that the devil is scared of your relationship with God and what’s to break it
Don’t worry just don’t let him win and if you fail get back up

I agree. I add that it is possible for some to overdo this new “tenderness of conscience”, so you should talk to your confessor about this stuff if you have questions, or seem to be seeing stuff as sins that might not be.

But the more you get sin out of your life, the more you will notice and hate even venial sins.

Besides the devil tempting you more, which is true, you have been stirred up in your soul and mind. You have probably been thinking more about your life, and so some of the old wounds and scars in your life are starting to trouble you again. Parts of you never grew past your teenage days until now, so they are urging you to do teenage things.

If you pick out good teenage things to do, like stuff you could not realistically do then but which an adult could honorably do, this might be a good time to do them. This will make your younger self feel happy, and the rest of you can get past the old temptations and bad memories.

But this will not all go away quickly. Be patient about retraining yourself, and get up and keep going when you fail.
