I can’t really tell what the Lord’s stand is, as concerns a choice of a spouse, i mean is " a Sound Christian faith", all there is to look out for in the other, or does race, tribe etc count as well?
Of course. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s an commandment for us. It exists as a historical event for us to recognize and, on a spiritual level, affirms religious purity. Jews who entered into marriages with gentiles became what we know today as Samaritans, who practiced a mix of Judaism and various pagan religions. The Israelites always fell away from God when they intermingled with gentiles, and Tobit wanted to spare his son from this.Ok.Just thought, because it’s from the Bible, It should have some meaning to today’s chritian, maybe ?
