Schools’ tough approach to bad behaviour isn’t working – and may escalate problems

Discipline in schools is a very complex topic but setting clear and high expectations is a key part of the equation, along with consequences.
 
These measures seem pretty backward. I don’t think we even do much of this in the US anymore. I would have expected better of Australia, but then again they just announced an extra $9.5 mill for International Planned Parenthood.

IMHO, that was a pretty low quality article. The author didn’t convince me she knew much at all about what happens on the ground in schools, or best practice.
